Organizations
Tile Council of North America,
Inc.:
Based on an industry forum and consensus, TCNA publishes literature
on nationally recommended ceramic tile installation specification
guidelines and ANSI standards on ceramic tile and installation
systems. For 65 years, TCNA has worked to expand the
market of American-made ceramic tile and related installation
products, tools and raw materials. The TCNA lab conducts ANSI,
ISO and ASTM testing to assess a product's or system's ability
to meet high performance criteria.
American National Standards Institute:
For 80 years, ANSI has served as administrator and coordinator of
the United States private sector voluntary standardization system.
ANSI's primary goal is to enhance the global competitiveness of
U.S. business by promoting and facilitating voluntary consensus
standards and conformity assessment systems and promoting American
integrity.
American Society for Testing and
Materials: ASTM is a not-for-profit organization that provides
a global forum for the development and publication of voluntary
consensus standard testing methods for materials, products, systems,
and services.
International
Organization for Standardization: Established in 1947, ISO is
a non-governmental organization promoting the development of international
standardization and related activities in the world with a view
to facilitating the international exchange of goods and services,
and to developing cooperation in the spheres of intellectual, scientific,
technological and economic activity.
